There are ten major Optix® grades(CA-41, CA-51, CA-61, CA-68, CA-71, CA-75, CA-80, CA-81, CA-82, CA-86) that meet ASTM D-788 Specifications. Generally speaking, the lower number has higher melt flow rate. These polymers are virtually unaffected by alkalis, hydrocarbons, non-oxidizing acids, and salt water. Users are welcome to choose transparent, translucent, opaque, or custom colors in various grades of melt flow rate and heat resistence.
There are five major Optix® impact-modified grades(CA-924, CA-927, CA-990, CA-945, CA-1000 I, CA-1000 E, CA-1000 E-2) that exhibit 7 to 10 times the impact strength of general purpose grades and maintaining the superior optical properties. In addition, each grade is offered in a grade(G) that resists gamma ray radiation sterilization. These G grades od products also meet US Pharmacopoeia XXI class VI toxicity requirements, and FDA food additave regulation 21 CFR 177.1010(acrylic and modified acrylic plastics, semi-rigid, and rigid).
